On this occasion, the speakers said in their address that Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar endured inhuman discrimination throughout his life and kept fighting against it. Dr. Ambedkar is considered a man of versatility by thinkers, scholars and politicians of the twentieth and twenty-first century.
He is the main architect of the Constitution of India. Dr. Ambedkar gave equal voting rights to the poor citizens and women of India. He fought for the right of land ownership to laborers and farmers. He kept raising his voice for human rights throughout his life. He was a great fearless leader and visionary who represented the rights of all sections of the society, not just one section.
He is also remembered all over the world as a "symbol of knowledge". His entire life inspires us to face difficulties. District Secretary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Kuldeep Singh Dharka, while presenting his views, said that by following his ideas like "Read, Join and Struggle", we can achieve great achievements in life. Today, the Punjab government is misleading people in the name of education revolution.
The central government is creating discrimination among people in the name of religion and caste. By doing this, the attention of the public is being diverted and the government is handing over the institutions to its corporate favourites at the cost of money. Their loans worth lakhs of crores of rupees are being waived off. Continuous attacks are being made on Dalits, minorities, intellectuals and workers including women to end the freedom of expression given by the Constitution.
The people of the country are being divided in the name of caste, religion and community. He stressed on the need to save the Constitution and democracy like the freedom struggle of the country. Engr. Jasvir Singh Moron said that only by implementing the ideas of Baba Saheb Ambedkar ji, we can move forward on the path of social change. The day we recognize ourselves, the revolution will begin.
