Rajpura, April 11- A major road accident occurred near Gagan Chowk in Rajpura at around 5:30 am today, during which an uncontrolled truck crashed into a shop. SDM Rajpura Avikesh Gupta, who arrived at the scene after the accident, said that road repair work is underway on the National Highway, due to which a temporary ramp has been constructed. He said that heavy vehicles are facing problems due to the improper structure of the temporary ramp and this accident happened due to this.
He said that the National Highway Authority has been informed about this. The truck driver was seriously injured in the accident and has been admitted to AP Jain Hospital in Rajpura for treatment.
The shop owner said that his shop has been severely damaged by the truck collision, and the vehicle parked inside has also been damaged. The SSF team and Traffic Incharge Gurbachan Singh reached the spot with their team and restored the traffic jam so that there would be no traffic problem of any kind.
