Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 24: Following the guidelines issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi; Today, on January 24, 2025, under the leadership of Dr. Shaina Agarwal (IAS), Director, Social Security and Women and Child Development Department, Punjab; National Girl Child Day 2025 was celebrated at the district level at District SAS Nagar, with the girls residing at the child care institution Gur Asra Trust, Mohali.
During which Shri Gagandeep Singh, District Program Officer, SAS Nagar distributed 101 track suits to the girls residing in the institution. Along with this, the District Program Officer motivated the girls towards sports along with studies. Apart from this, he informed that following the instructions issued by the department, National Girl Child Day is being celebrated at the district level as well as at the block level. Under which trees have been planted in the name of daughters at the block level. On this occasion, Mrs. Gursimran Kaur, Child Development Project Officer, Kharar-2 and Mrs. Navpreet Kaur, District Child Protection Officer SAS Nagar and staff were present.
