Chandigarh, April 6 - Punjab Police has arrested a person with fake currency worth Rs 2.15 lakh, weapons and ammunition. DGP Gaurav Yadav said in a post on X that Amritsar Rural Police has arrested German Singh with fake currency and ammunition.

The police officer said, "A Glock 9mm pistol, a .30 bore caliber pistol, 3 magazines and fake currency worth Rs 2,15,000 have been recovered from the accused." Yadav said that preliminary investigation has revealed that this consignment of fake currency and weapons was sent by operators of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI to spoil the atmosphere in the region.
He said that a case has been registered in this regard at the Gharinda police station in Amritsar and further investigation is being carried out into the matter.
