Nawanshahr - As per the instructions of the School Education Department, a mega parent teacher meet was organized in all the primary schools of the district. The District Education Officer participated in it in various schools of the district. Addressing the parents, panchayat members, SMC committee members and other dignitaries who attended the meeting during his visit, he said that the Punjab government has been making efforts on a war footing for the last three years to change the face of schools.
To further improve the skills of teachers, visits to countries like Finland are being organized so that the education model of that country can be adopted and implemented in our country. Apart from this, the process of filling the vacant posts of teachers in schools has been expedited. In the coming few days, more new teachers are being called and sent to schools so that the level of education of children can be raised further from the new session. Apart from this, grants worth lakhs of rupees are being issued to schools every day to improve the infrastructure of schools.
He also said that e-content has been added to make the children up to date so that in future they do not face any kind of difficulty in getting higher education. He said that in government schools, nursery and pre-primary children are taught through playful methods and stories based on understanding. He also said that now any child who has completed three years of age can get admission in any government school through any medium.
While motivating the parents, he also said that the teachers of government schools are very hardworking and experienced, so for the bright future of our children, we should get our children enrolled in as many government schools as possible and take advantage of government facilities. Today he attended the mega parent-teacher meeting going on in Aoud, Hiyala, Rahon, Barnala Kalan and Bhan Mazara schools.
