Nawanshahr/Raho- National Labor Organization (NLO) Convenor Baldev Bharti State Awardee said that the daily wage of MNREGA laborers in Punjab will be Rs 346 for the financial year 2025-26 from April 1, 2025, which was Rs 322 during the financial year 2024-25.
He said that the Rural Development Ministry of the Government of India has issued a notification dated March 27, 2025 regarding the daily wage rates of MNREGA laborers across the country under subsection 1 of section 6 of section 42 of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act-2005.
He said that as per the latest notification, this daily wage is Rs. 400 in Haryana, Rs. 389 in 3 areas of Sikkim, Rs. 378/- in Himachal Pradesh... Goa, Rs. 370/- in Karnataka, Rs. 361/- in Nicobar and Rs. 369/- in Kerala. Thus, Punjab will be at 7th position in terms of daily wage rate of MNREGA workers as compared to other states.
