Hoshiarpur- 5 tuck shops were opened under the Wings Project launched by the Red Cross Society from November 2023 to make children with special needs self-reliant, seeing the success of which Ludhiana Beverage Limited provided financial assistance of Rs 6.46 lakh to the Red Cross to open three more canteens.
Ludhiana Beverage Limited presented a cheque of this amount to Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairperson District Red Cross Society Ashika Jain. It is worth mentioning that one canteen will be opened near Street Food, Old Court and two canteens will be opened in government schools of the district. Which will be run by children with special needs and Divyang persons.
The Deputy Commissioner thanked Ludhiana Beverage for its contribution in this noble cause. Society Secretary Mangesh Sood appealed to the people that if any child with special needs is looking for employment, he can contact the Red Cross.
