
The Language Department sought compositions for the special issue of the magazine 'Jan Sahit' on the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.
Hoshiarpur- Under the able guidance of the Government of Punjab and Director Language Department Punjab, Patiala Jaswant Singh Zafar, the Language Department is continuously playing an active role in the promotion and dissemination of Punjabi language and culture. Under this series of activities, unpublished compositions are being sought from the writers for the monthly magazine 'Jan Sahit' published by the Language Department.

Talking about this in detail, District Research Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai said that any writer can contact the District Language Officer Hoshiarpur to send his composition for publication in the Jan Sahit magazine. Writers can send their original compositions on the above subject for the special issue of the month of April to June, 2025 dedicated to the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji.
It is mandatory for the writer to send his name, address, mobile number along with the composition and verify that the composition is unpublished. The editorial board of the department will give due place to quality works in Jan Sahitya Patrika. He said that apart from this magazine, the language department is also publishing monthly magazines in Urdu and Hindi.
The annual fee of each magazine is only two hundred and forty rupees. These magazines can be bought from the District Language Office, Hoshiarpur. The department has also made arrangements to deliver these magazines to the readers' homes through post.
