Expert Talk and Dialogue Session on “Cyber ??Security and its Future in India” organised at IIT

Una, March 27- An expert talk and dialogue session on “Cyber ??Security and its Future in India” was organised at Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIT) Una. The session discussed in depth the advanced cyber security measures, recent security incidents and emerging threats on critical infrastructure. Faculty members, researchers and students involved in cyber security research participated in the event.

Una, March 27- An expert talk and dialogue session on “Cyber ??Security and its Future in India” was organised at Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIT) Una. The session discussed in depth the advanced cyber security measures, recent security incidents and emerging threats on critical infrastructure. Faculty members, researchers and students involved in cyber security research participated in the event.
The session was led by Prof. Sandeep Shukla of IIT Kanpur, an international level expert in the field of cyber security. Prof. Shukla is the founder of National Theme Centre (C3I Centre) and C3I Hub, which works on cyber security and security of critical infrastructure. His research focuses on topics such as blockchain technology, hardware and network security, artificial intelligence (AI) based cyber defence systems and security of critical infrastructure.
Prof. Manish Gaur, Director, IIT Una highlighted the growing importance of cyber security and the skills required in this field. He informed that during the session, the future of cyber security in India, risk assessment tools and collaboration between industry and academia were discussed in detail.
He emphasized the need for inter-disciplinary research and national level strategies to strengthen India's cyber security, combat social engineering and develop next generation security technologies.
