Una, March 25:- The process of implementing e-detection system has started in the state. It is mandatory to install high security registration number plate on all types of private and commercial vehicles. Giving this information, RTO Una Ashok Kumar said that vehicles without high security number plate (HSRP) can be challaned under section 192 of the Central Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and no vehicle related work can be done.
He said that vehicle owners who have not installed high security registration number plate should ensure to get HSRP installed immediately. Vehicle owners can get HSRP made by depositing the prescribed fee from any nearby dealer of the concerned vehicle company. Also, all vehicle owners must also register their mobile number in their vehicle records so that information about vehicle related work can be received from time to time. The process of mobile linking can be done through Aadhaar verification itself or from the concerned vehicle registration office.
The RTO said that the e-deduction system is a state-of-the-art surveillance system used to check documents especially while driving on the highway. This system checks the documents of every vehicle passing through the toll plaza using CCTV cameras and other technical equipment.
Apart from this, the High Security (HSRP) number plate is made of high quality aluminum which includes a laser code and a permanent identification number and registration mark. The plate uses reflective sheet which ensures visibility at night and in low light.
The color of the plates matches the type of vehicle and its registration category which helps in quick visual identification. HSRP plate ensures uniformity in vehicle registration which helps in maintaining a consistent standard across the state. He said that HSRP is helpful in reducing vehicle theft and fraud by providing a reliable means of tracking and verifying the identity of the vehicle fitted with it. He has appealed to all vehicle owners to install HSRP.
