Una, March 25 - Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Una Ashok Kumar, while giving information, said that the owners of goods vehicles including taxis, maxi cabs, auto rickshaws, school buses should get the pending passenger and goods tax determined by 29 March 2025 from December 31, 2021 and ensure that it is deposited by March 31, 2025.
He said that by simplifying the process related to passenger and goods tax, the state government has provided the facility to deposit the pending tax before December 31, 2021 with an additional 10 percent fee till March 31, 2025 in the concerned vehicle registration office under a special policy. Let us tell you, after the Himachal Pradesh government transferred the passenger tax and goods tax from the Excise and Taxation Department to the Transport Department, it was mandatory for all the concerned vehicle owners to get the certificate of pre-payment of passenger and goods tax till December 31, 2021 from the concerned office and get it registered in the RTO office and Vehicle Registration and License Office or SDM office. He has appealed to all vehicle owners to settle the passenger and goods tax related to their vehicles within the stipulated time period.
