
Nagpur violence: 105 arrested so far; 3 more FIRs registered
Nagpur, March 22- At least 14 more people have been arrested in connection with the violence that broke out in Nagpur earlier this week, taking the total number of arrests to 105. A senior police officer said that 14 people, including 10 minors, were arrested on Friday. The officer said that three more FIRs have been registered in connection with the incident.

It is worth noting that on March 17, there were reports of large-scale stone-pelting and arson in several parts of Nagpur. As a sheet with holy verses was burnt during protests by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) demanding the removal of the tomb of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singhal said 14 accused have been arrested from different parts of the city in connection with the riots and three more FIRs have been registered. He said a decision to lift curfew from some parts of the city would be taken after a high-level review meeting.
