
E-Summit 2025: Igniting Innovation and Entrepreneurship at PEC
Chandigarh: 22nd March, 2025: The Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell (EIC) at the Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh organized the much awaited, E-Summit 2025from 22-23rd March, 2025. E-Summit is a flagship event, bringing together visionaries, industry leaders, investors and student entrepreneurs under one roof. This event is a celebration of ideas, innovation, and leadership. It is designed to inspire students to think beyond conventional career paths and explore the dynamic world of startups and businesses.

E-Summit is a flagship event, bringing together visionaries, industry leaders, investors and student entrepreneurs under one roof. This event is a celebration of ideas, innovation, and leadership. It is designed to inspire students to think beyond conventional career paths and explore the dynamic world of startups and businesses.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Somveer Anand, (CEO IMPunjab, Mohali), Mr. Naman Singhal (CEO AIC ISB, Mohali), Prof. Naveen Aggarwal (Head, Incubation Cell, PU Chd), Dr. D.R. Prajapati (Dean of Student Affairs), Col. R.M. Joshi (Registrar), Dr. Simranjit Singh (Coordinator, EIC-PEC) and Dr. Sudesh Rani (Co-coordinator, EIC-PEC). This year's E-Summit is packed with Keynote Speeches from renowned Industry leaders, panel discussions, Pitching Competitions, Funding Conclaves, Workshops and Networking Sessions.
Initially, Mr. Sukhmanpreet Singh, Student Secretary, introduced the Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell (EIC-PEC). This cell provided guidance and industry exposure to students through various initiatives including workshops & masterclasses, Startup Fairs and Investor Meets, Incubation and Mentorship Programs, Hackathons and Business Plan Competitions.
Dr. Simranjit Singh welcomed the dignitaries and shared that the cell has successfully introduced eight startups. He announced plans to launch a dedicated startup semester alongside internships and placement programs in the upcoming session. Appreciating the dedication and ingenuity of PEC students, he also acknowledged investors and industry leaders. Additionally, he provided an overview of the institute’s 5G Use Case Lab, a government-sponsored initiative integrating a 5G network prototype.
Prof. Naveen Aggarwal emphasized the need to enhance the startup ecosystem and increase the number of ventures in Chandigarh. He discussed various public grants available for startups and the process of transforming ideas and prototypes into market-ready solutions. He highlighted the importance of collaboration, strategic marketing, and initiating the right processes for success.
Mr. Somveer Anand captivated the audience with his engaging insights, introducing IMPunjab as a government-backed initiative fostering industry growth in Punjab. He expressed his vision of making Chandigarh a vibrant hub for academia, industry, and startups, buzzing with the creativity of young minds.
Mr. Naman Singhal shared his joint initiatives with PEC and praised the institution for its high-quality talent pool. He stressed the importance of nurturing a support system for technology-based projects and expressed confidence that the next generation of impactful startups would emerge from PEC.
Dr. D.R. Prajapati, Dean of Student Affairs, highlighted E-Summit’s role in transforming talent into solutions for real-world challenges, sustainability, and national progress. Encouraging students to embrace resilience, discipline, and leadership, he described entrepreneurship as a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and meaningful impact. He emphasized that the summit serves as a gateway to new opportunities and a catalyst for India’s development through collaboration and visionary leadership.
The event concluded with the felicitation of dignitaries and the organizing team, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sudesh Rani. The two-day summit kickstarted with immense enthusiasm and promises engaging sessions, including speaker panels, a visit to the 5G lab, an IPL auction, a funding conclave, Bargain Battles, Startup Talks, and BIZ-QUIZ.
