The above words were said by retired DIG Amarjit Singh from Border Security Force while addressing a seminar dedicated to Sardar Bhagat Singh organized by Cultural Conservation Society on Bhagat Singh and today's context at the local Sadhu Ashram. Amarjit said that a soldier gets martyred while working honestly on the border, because that soldier gets the responsibility of protecting the border.
Similarly, the universe has entrusted some responsibility to all of us and fulfilling this responsibility will be our first step towards complete independence. On this occasion, social worker Dr. Ajay Bagga said that today our young generation should be given proper respect. There is a need to understand the thinking of Bhagat Singh and his comrades well. Education advocate Deepak Vashisht said that for a long time some people are deliberately trying to defame the sacrifice of our martyrs.
Addressing the program, Sanjeev Talwar said that martyrs do not belong to any caste or religion, they are the heritage of the country. Therefore, the Election Commission of India should ensure that just as any religious symbol or religious place or national heritage cannot be used during elections, similarly no political party should use the names of these martyrs for their political benefit.
The program was also addressed by Dr. Ritu Wala Dharampal Sahil, famous poet Tekriyan. In the end, committee president Master Kulwinder Zaida thanked everyone. On this occasion, well-known educationists of the city were also present along with the committee members.
