Hoshiarpur- Jal Shakti Kendra and Force Trust organized an awareness program on the importance of water here today, dedicated to World Water Day, in which farmers from different areas of the district participated.
During the program organized at the local district administrative complex, experts informed the farmers about water conservation during farming and said that farmers can increase production and save water by using sprinkler technology, drip irrigation and farming on bed system.
Nodal Officer of Jal Shakti Kendra Harjinder Singh and other experts invited people to be aware of water conservation on the occasion of World Water Day and to take a pledge to take full care of the importance of water during normal use in their homes. He said that it is very important to spread awareness among more and more people to save water.
