During his visit, he visited each ward of Civil Hospital Mohali and enquired about the health of the patients. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman Punjab Health Systems Corporation Maninderjit Singh Vicky Ghanaur said that during the surprise visit today, he interacted with the people at Civil Hospital Mohali. He said that Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has allocated a budget of Rs 5598 crore for the health budget. He directed the Civil Surgeon and SMO that no doctor should prescribe outside medicines to the patients, but only the medicines available in the hospital should be prescribed. He said that during the hospital visit, some shortcomings have come to his notice. Strict instructions have been given to resolve them on priority basis. He said that the Punjab government is providing better facilities in the hospital. He said that he is happy that during the surprise visit today, the patients in the hospital are being provided health services by the Punjab government, which is a commendable step and they are being treated in the best possible manner by expert doctors.
