The local people are very happy with the announcements made especially for Una district. They say that this budget is going to strengthen the rural economy and realize the resolve of self-reliant Himachal.

The local people are very happy with the announcements made especially for Una district. They say that this budget is going to strengthen the rural economy and realize the resolve of self-reliant Himachal.

Gift to farmers engaged in potato cultivation-
The residents of Una are overjoyed with the announcement of setting up a potato processing unit in Una by the Chief Minister in his budget speech. Una produces good potatoes and the potatoes here are famous all over the country. In view of the immense possibilities in this area, the government has decided to set up a potato processing unit. Many farmers of the area, including Ajay Thakur and Gurpal Chaudhary, farmers of Pandoga, who are involved in potato cultivation, say that this decision of the government will give a big boost to the people engaged in potato cultivation.

Emphasis on milk based economy, support price to farmers-
At the same time, farmers are very happy with the decision of the Chief Minister to increase the minimum support price for the purchase of milk. In the budget, the minimum support price of cow milk has been announced to be increased from Rs 45 to Rs 51 per liter and the price of buffalo milk from Rs 55 to Rs 61 per liter. Pushpa Devi of Roda in Haroli, Sonia Rana of Badhera and Rajesh Kumar of Kotla Khas in Bangana, Raj Kumar of Chhapro say that thousands of farmers in the district are involved in milk production and trade, who will directly benefit from this decision.
Apart from this, Anil Dadhwal of Dioli in Gagret and Ajay Pal Singh of Kaloh and Channan Singh of Haroli have also praised the Chief Minister's announcement in which the Chief Minister has said that if any farmer or society takes milk to the center located at a distance of more than 2 kilometers from the notified collection center, then they will be given transport subsidy at the rate of Rs 2 per liter.

Prosperity of farmers through natural farming-
Encouraging natural farming, the Chief Minister has announced to increase the minimum support price of naturally grown maize from Rs 30 to Rs 40 per kg and the price of wheat from Rs 40 to Rs 60 per kg. Farmers Raghuveer Singh of Lower Badhera and Balwinder of Sasan in Una say that this decision will increase the inclination of people towards poison-free farming and will create new opportunities for self-employment for the youth.
Apart from this, it has also been announced that if a farmer takes the crop himself to the notified collection center located at a distance of more than 2 km, then he will also be given freight subsidy at the rate of Rs 2 per kg. Many citizens including Ravindra Kumar of Rapoh village in Chintpurni and Satya Devi of Lathiani in Bangana have praised this decision, calling it a power giving decision to the farmers.
At the same time, the people of the area have wholeheartedly welcomed the Chief Minister's announcements of giving further impetus to the Bulk Drug Park project under construction in Haroli and all other public welfare announcements, including construction of hostel for girl students in Una.
