
One Day Nationwide Seminar on “Integration of NEP 2020 in Technical & Vocational Education: Challenges & Opportunities – A Grand Success”
Hoshiarpur- District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Hoshiarpur in collaboration with Swami Sarvananda Giri Punjab University Regional Centre organized a one day nationwide seminar on “Integration of NEP 2020 in Technical & Vocational Education: Challenges & Opportunities”. The seminar was held at Swami Sarvananda Giri Punjab University Regional Centre and was attended by academicians, researchers and experts from across the country.
Hoshiarpur- District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Hoshiarpur in collaboration with Swami Sarvananda Giri Punjab University Regional Centre organized a one day nationwide seminar on “Integration of NEP 2020 in Technical & Vocational Education: Challenges & Opportunities”. The seminar was held at Swami Sarvananda Giri Punjab University Regional Centre and was attended by academicians, researchers and experts from across the country.
The seminar was conducted both online and offline and a total of 171 presentations were made. These presentations were given by academicians, professionals and students who shared their valuable views on the integration of vocational and technical education within the ambit of NEP 2020. The seminar was inaugurated by Chief Guest former MP Avinash Rai Khanna. His presence added special importance to the event and highlighted the importance of integrating technical education with vocational requirements.
Dr. Surinder Sharma from Himachal University delivered the keynote address and shared his valuable views on the challenges and opportunities provided by NEP 2020. The keynote speakers who contributed to the success of the event were Dr. Shikha Sharma, Chief Organizer and Dr. Ritu Kumra, Organizing Secretary.
They ensured the successful conduct of the seminar. Other important organizing members include Dr. Arjun, Mr. Ankur Sood, Mrs. Baljir Kaur and Mr. Dilbag Singh, all faculty members of DIET, Hoshiarpur. Their dedicated efforts and team work certainly contributed to the grand success of the seminar.
Dr. Kumra announced the theme of the seminar and discussed the importance of content education system which focuses on seamless integration of professional and technical education to better prepare students for future careers. DIET is highly thankful to Swami Sarvananda Giri Punjab University Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur for their support whose contribution was instrumental in the success of the seminar.
