Garhshankar- Old Pension Restoration Struggle Committee leaders Narinder Ajanoha, Satpal Minhas, Paramjit Katib and GTU leaders Pawan Goyal, Naresh Kumar and Rajkumar submitted a protest letter to the constituency MLA Deputy Speaker Jai Kishan Singh Raudi. The leaders reminded the Deputy Speaker that before the elections, the Aam Aadmi Party had said that the old pension would be restored in the first cabinet meeting with the employees, but the pension has not been implemented yet.
In November 2022, the 'AAP' government issued an incomplete notification, stating that the SOP would be issued soon for pension restoration. But the SOP has not been issued yet. The report of the officers sent by the government to the states that have restored the pension to look into the pension issues there has not yet been made public.
Halaka MLA Jai Kishan Singh Raudi listened carefully to the speech of the agitating leaders and assured that he would soon convey the important demand of those employees for restoration of old pension to the Chief Minister.
On this occasion many NPS employees including Hari Ram, Parminder Pakhowal, Omkar Singh, Sagli Ram, Jasvir Singh, Ram Kishan, Raj Kumar, Subhash Chandra, Baljeet Singh, Dilawar, Vijay Kumar, Manjinder Baghora, Satpal Singh and Harminder Kumar, Satnam Singh, Rashpal Singh, Rakesh Kumar were present.
