Ahmedabad, June 16 - Filmmaker Mahesh Kalavadiya is missing after the Air India plane crash that took place last week. According to information, his mobile phone's last location was seen just 700 meters away from the crash site. Naroda resident Mahesh Kalavadiya, also known as Mahesh Jirawala, directs a music album. His wife Hetal said that he had gone to meet someone in the Law Garden area in the afternoon.
"My husband called me at 1:14 pm and told me that his meeting was over and he was coming home. However, when he did not return, I called his phone but it was switched off. After informing the police, his mobile phone's last location was seen 700 meters away from the crash site."
The family has provided DNA samples after he went missing. Because many of the bodies were beyond recognition due to decomposition or were otherwise damaged, authorities are conducting DNA tests to identify the victims of the horrific tragedy. Authorities here on Sunday confirmed the identities of 47 victims through DNA matching.
