District Magistrate issued various prohibitory orders in the district
Hoshiarpur- Using the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Act 2023, District Magistrate Hoshiarpur Ashika Jain has issued various prohibitory orders in the district, under which a complete ban has been imposed on any person giving water or bathing animals in big and small canals, canal embankments and Dhussi embankment built on the banks of River Beas within the district limits. Similarly, a complete ban has been imposed on any person grazing animals on public roads or public places.
Hoshiarpur- Using the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Act 2023, District Magistrate Hoshiarpur Ashika Jain has issued various prohibitory orders in the district, under which a complete ban has been imposed on any person giving water or bathing animals in big and small canals, canal embankments and Dhussi embankment built on the banks of River Beas within the district limits. Similarly, a complete ban has been imposed on any person grazing animals on public roads or public places.
Apart from issuing orders for a complete ban on the transportation of animals in the district from 6 pm to 6 am in summer and from 5 pm to 7 am in winter, orders have also been given to the animal keepers to get registered with the Animal Husbandry Department.
According to the orders issued, the use of military olive green (military color) jeeps, motorcycles, motor vehicles is prohibited within the district limits.
This order will not apply to military officials. Similarly, uniforms of Armed Forces/Punjab Police/BSF and military colours will not be used by unauthorized persons (adults) and the sale and purchase of these uniforms by unauthorized persons has also been banned. This order will not apply to Armed Forces/Punjab Police/BSF/Military officials.
Apart from this, according to the order issued by the District Magistrate, no person or Panchayat or Municipal Council or Nagar Panchayat in the rural and urban areas of Hoshiarpur district will fill any pond without the prior written approval of the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Issuing another order, the District Magistrate has also banned illegal boring on streets/roads in all the villages of the district. All these orders will remain in force till May 7, 2025.
