Women's Day celebrated in Khalsa College Mahilpur

Mahilpur, March 9 - A special function was organized on the occasion of International Women's Day at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here. On this occasion, the teaching and non-teaching female staff of the college along with the students of the institution participated in this function with enthusiasm.

On this occasion, two former students of the college, Tina Rani, Branch Manager, Hoshiarpur Central Cooperative Bank Branch, Saila Khurd and Harpreet Kaur, Advocate, Punjab and Haryana High Court, attended as special guests. In their address, the said students refreshed their memories related to the college and inspired the students present to struggle in life.
Speaking about the importance of Women's Day, the Principal of the college, Dr. Parvinder Singh, said that today, women in every field have made their special identity by working on an equal footing with men with their intelligence and competence. On this occasion, the Principal's staff honored Advocate Harpreet Kaur and Manager Tina Rani, who were present as the chief guests.
On this occasion, students participated in Rangoli, Essay Writing, Mehndi Decoration and Poster Making competitions and won prizes. Dr. Bimala Jaswal, Prof. Pawandeep Cheema, Prof. Balvir Kaur, Prof. Aarti Sharma and Dr. Parminder Kaur also presented their views on the occasion. College staff and students were present during the ceremony.
