Patiala, March 8- Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Patiala Ajitpal Singh Kohli held an important meeting to launch a campaign against drugs. Mayor Kundan Gogia, District President Tejinder Mehta and all the councilors attended this meeting. On this occasion, MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli said that the Punjab government has launched a campaign under the "War on Drugs".
While taking this campaign forward, all the councilors and we in Patiala should come together and raise our voice against drugs. MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli said that all the councilors should keep an eye on their respective areas and if any person sells drugs, his information should be given to the police. He said that if any youth is addicted to drugs, he should be sent to a drug de-addiction center for treatment so that he can be weaned off his addiction and put on the right path.
The MLA also appealed to the general public to cooperate with us in eradicating drugs, if any person is not giving information about drugs to the police due to fear, then give that information to your councilor so that these drug traffickers can be sent behind bars. The MLA said that the Punjab government has launched a large-scale campaign against drugs. To which people should also cooperate to curb drugs, information about people involved in drug business should be given to the police so that legal action can be taken against drug traffickers.
