Chandigarh, March 11- Former Punjab Health Minister and Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu has said that the BJP-led central government is misusing agencies like ED, CBI and IT department to target opposition leaders.
He said that the ED raids at the house of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Punjab Congress General Secretary in-charge Bhupesh Baghel show the authoritarian attitude of the BJP, but Bhupesh Baghel is a strong Congress leader who has fought such battles before.
He said that the entire country knows that BJP can never gain a foothold in Punjab, which is why it is using every trick to stop the Congress and tarnish the image of our leaders. He said that the raids on Bhupesh Baghel's premises immediately after his visit to Punjab exposes the BJP's desperation to spoil the goodwill of Punjab leaders. He said that the BJP should understand that they cannot stop the Congress from serving the country. He said that the ED's raid on Bhupesh Baghel's house was just a pre-planned strategy to change the headlines and divert people's attention from important issues like tariff, the falling economy and voter list fraud.
