Hoshiarpur- Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Amandeep Kaur said that like every year, this time also the Swachh Survey has started, in which various ULBs from different states of India participate. This time the Municipal Corporation has applied for Water Plus and GFC 3 Star Certification under Swachh Survekshan.
The Municipal Corporation Commissioner said that Hoshiarpur city can get this certification only when the city residents contribute to it, under which the city residents should separate the garbage (wet and dry) of their house / shop daily and give it to the cleaning staff of their area and do not throw it in the open in any plot or drain, take a cloth or jute bag from home while going to the market and do not use items made of single use plastic.
He said that while using public toilets built in your area, do not defecate or urinate in the open. No kind of garbage should be thrown in the sewer. To increase the beauty of the city, more and more trees should be planted and taken care of.
The sanitation workers of the Municipal Corporation should contribute a lot in maintaining the sanitation system smoothly.
