Nawanshahr, 17 February- Due to drug addiction and unemployment, the courage of robbers has increased so much that they neither look back nor forward while using sharp weapons. They do not care if someone becomes permanently disabled, someone dies or the sole earning member of a family is killed. They only want to fulfill their addiction by looting.
One such case is of robbery at Petrol Pump in Village Sahlon. Petrol pump owner Kaljinder Singh told that he had closed the petrol pump at around 8:30 last night and went to his office to check the account. After some time 10 youths entered the office with sharp weapons. Suddenly they started attacking with sharp weapons, due to which an employee got seriously injured.
The injured employee was taken to Civil Hospital Nawanshahr for treatment, from where he was referred to PGI Chandigarh due to serious injuries. Kaljinder Singh said that he too has sustained injuries. He said that when the robbers were continuously attacking, he asked what do you people want from us? After this the robbers asked for money.
As soon as the robbers asked for money, Kaljinder Singh handed over his purse along with the day's earnings of the petrol pump to the robbers. After taking the money, the robbers fled with their third accomplice who was standing outside on the road.
The entire information of the incident was given to the officials of Aarh police station today and the police have started investigation by visiting the spot. Now only time will tell whether the robbers will be caught by the police or they will continue to deceive the police as usual.
