Nawanshahr 14 February - As per the guidelines of National Legal Services Authority and under the orders received from Hon'ble Member Secretary Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, Hon'ble District and Sessions Judge Hon'ble Priya Sood and Dr. Amandeep CJM cum Secretary District Legal Services Authority Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Paralegal Volunteers Vasdev Pardesi and Des Raj Bali of District Legal Services Authority Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar organized a legal awareness seminar at Doaba Sikh National Senior Secondary School, Slough Road, Nawanshahr.
Speaking on the occasion, he gave information about POCSO Act and said that if anyone harasses children, physically harasses them in an inappropriate manner, shows them obscene videos, sends wrong messages, mentally harasses them or any kind of unpleasant incident occurs, children must inform their parents and teachers or call the children's helpline number 1098 for assistance.
Des Raj Bali also informed the children about free legal aid, child marriage, child labour and the toll free number 1968 of the District Legal Services Authority. Principal Parvinder Singh, school staff and students were present on this occasion.
