Una, February 13 - Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal held a meeting of the District Level Coordination Committee regarding the 8th Economic Census in the district on Thursday. During this, he discussed in detail with the statistics and concerned officials on various issues regarding conducting the economic census in a simple and better way in a timely manner.
He informed that the survey work of the Economic Census of the year 2025-26 in Una district will be completed in the month of May. For this, the concerned employees including Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, Patwaris, Panchayat Secretaries will be trained on various aspects of the census through master trainers.
He informed that the District Revenue, Health, DRDA, Panchayati Raj, Industry and ICDS departments will ensure the appointment of employees of the concerned department for the work to be done in the Economic Census. Apart from this, the Deputy Commissioner directed the National Informatics Centre (NIC) Una to ensure smooth functioning of the Economic Census App and networking related works so that smooth and smooth survey can be conducted.
He informed that this economic census is conducted after every five years. During the economic census, an ASHA worker will be given three census blocks which will include 150 to 180 people.
On this occasion, Panchayat Officer Una Shravan Kumar, District Revenue Officer Ajay Kumar, BDO KL Verma, Research Officer Harminder Singh from District Statistical Office Una, Assistant Research Officer Jai Dayal and other officers were present.
