Free health checkup and mammography camp organized at Sector 42 Government Girls College

Chandigarh:--Under the able guidance of Prof. Binu Dogra, Principal of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-42, Chandigarh, the Health Society, NSS unit, in collaboration with Sohana Hospital, Apollo Hospital and Innerwheel Club Chandigarh Central, organized a free health checkup camp and mammography camp in the college campus on Tuesday, 11 February.

Chandigarh:--Under the able guidance of Prof. Binu Dogra, Principal of Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-42, Chandigarh, the Health Society, NSS unit, in collaboration with Sohana Hospital, Apollo Hospital and Innerwheel Club Chandigarh Central, organized a free health checkup camp and mammography camp in the college campus on Tuesday, 11 February.
On this occasion, Deputy Mayor of Chandigarh Jasbir Singh Bunty arrived as the chief guest and praised this free health checkup camp and considered this effort on behalf of the college as very useful. He described the members and volunteers of the college as a step forward towards being health conscious for this auspicious work.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Binu Dogra, while praising the efforts of the Health Society and NSS unit of the college, said that routine checkup is essential for health in the current era of infectious diseases. Health Society coordinator Dr. Preet Kamal and NSS in-charge Mehar Chand said that the aim of the health checkup camp was to provide free health checkup and counseling to the college students, teachers and other staff and to make them aware of the importance of regular health checkup.
In this camp, women from the villages around the college were also requested for free checkup. A dedicated team of doctors and nurses from Sohana Hospital and Apollo Hospital were present to conduct the entire event successfully.
In which 40 women got mammography done and 75 people got health checkup done. This camp was organized successfully.
