Hoshiarpur- Bahujan Samaj Party Punjab President and former Rajya Sabha member Dr. Avtar Singh Karimpuri expressed deep concern about the future of Indian prisoners deported from America and said that with this lowly and humiliating treatment, people of India are being sent back in military planes like prisoners in handcuffs and shackles. He said that treating deported Indians like prisoners is the result of the negligence of the Central and Punjab governments.
Karimpuri said that instead of holding the arms of the deported people, the statement given by the Central BJP government in the Parliament is like rubbing salt on the wounds. Karimpuri said that to make America the most powerful and great country in the world, the Central and Punjab governments should learn a lesson from the cruel attitude towards the citizens of any country. Karimpuri said that the Chief Minister, who keeps promising in his speeches to bring back people who have gone abroad and provide them employment, should now arrange for government jobs and employment for the people who have returned after being deported.
Karimpuri said that the government should also arrest those agents who are illegally looting innocent people by taking lakhs of rupees. Karimpuri said that due to failure of Congress, BJP, AAP and Akali governments in creating employment opportunities for the unemployed and not getting full remuneration, people are forced to go abroad by spending lakhs of rupees and through jungles.
For which the central and state governments of the country should adopt constructive policies for employment. Karimpuri said that the Punjab government should seriously address the pain of the families of the migrant workers.
