Una, February 7- Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal inaugurated the two-day free dental checkup and medical camp organized in Jakhera, Una. This camp was organized at Government Senior Secondary School Jakhera under the joint aegis of Rotary Club Una, Rotary Club Shimla and Himachal Pradesh Government Dental College Shimla.
In the camp, expert dentists are providing services like examination of patients, disease identification, minor surgery, root canal treatment (RCT) and filling. Apart from this, the facility of mobile dental checkup van has also been made available, so that more and more people can get benefit.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated this effort of Rotary Club and said that the human body is like a temple, and it is very important to take care of it. He appealed to the people to be health conscious, take the advice of doctors seriously and not to be careless.
At the same time, he emphasized on adopting a balanced diet and avoiding sugar, refined flour and fried foods. The Deputy Commissioner urged the youth to stay away from addiction and advised them to exercise regularly, take active part in sports and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
President of Rotary Club Una Dr. K.R. Arya, Secretary Omkar Nath, President of Rotary Club Shimla Saurabh R. Sood, Secretary Arjun Goyal, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Jakhera Narendra Kumari, School Principal Surendra Dhiman and other dignitaries were present in the camp.
It is worth mentioning that on February 9, a dental and ear-nose-throat (ENT) check-up and medical camp will be organized in Palakwah, Una.
