
Youth Services Department launched campaign against drug abuse through street plays
Patiala, February 3- Assistant Director Youth Services Patiala Dr. Dilwar Singh said that under the orders of Chief Minister Punjab S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, to make Punjab drug free and to save the youth of Punjab from drug abuse and to make Punjab colourful again, a district level anti-drug awareness campaign is being run by organizing street plays at village level with the help of youth services clubs, gram panchayats and social service organizations active in the villages.

Under this series, today in the School of Eminence of village Balbera, the playwrights of Red Arts Punjab successfully staged the play 'Aakhir Kadon Daak', in which they made the little children aware to stay away from bad company and drug peddlers while studying in their village, city and educational institutions.
Dr. Dilwar Singh said that awareness against drug abuse is being created among the students through the staging of the play. He said that the staging of the play was so successful that all the spectators became emotional and they also took an oath not to consume drugs. He informed that under the drama series, a drama is to be staged in Government Senior Secondary School of village Dakala and these dramas are also to be staged in Government Senior Secondary School Ghazipur, Government High School Lalochi, Government Senior Secondary School Ghanaur and School of Eminence Bhadason.
So that the youth can be made aware about the ill effects of drugs and they can have full participation in building a colorful Punjab. On this occasion, while the principals, staff members and students of educational institutions participated, office bearers of youth clubs and members and sarpanches of village panchayats also participated in large numbers.
