All India Farm Workers Union Tehsil Garhshankar meeting held

Garhshankar- Today, the meeting of Kulhind Khet Mazdoor Union was held in Tehsil Garhshankar under the chairmanship of Gurmel Kalsi. Union's Punjab President Ram Singh Noorpuri and Secretary Gurmesh Singh attended the meeting. While addressing the meeting, both the comrades said that units should be established in villages by making membership. On 24 February, demonstrations are being held in the district regarding the demands of the farm laborers.

While addressing the meeting, both the comrades said that units should be established in villages by making membership. On 24 February, demonstrations are being held in the district regarding the demands of the farm laborers.
A large number of people should participate in these demonstrations. The comrades said that homeless laborers should be given a plot of 10 marla and a grant of Rs 5 lakh, MNREGA laborers should be given 200 days of work in a year and a daily wage of Rs 600, laborers' loans should be waived, every person above 58 years of age in every family should be given a monthly pension of Rs 10,000, health facilities, security, education and employment should be arranged for children. One-third of the Panchayat land should be given to Dalit families for farming. Farmer leader Gurnek Singh Bhajjal, CITU state leader Mahendra Kajmar Baddoan, who reached the meeting, while addressing the meeting said that strengthening the organization is the need of the hour. He assured full cooperation in the protest being held in Hoshiarpur on February 24. Harmesh Lal Satpal Umi, Ramesh Surjit Singh, Jang Bahadur, Prem Singh Premi, Harpal Singh Mahilpur, Prem Rana etc. were present in this meeting.
