SAS Nagar, February 1 – Congress leader Mr. Gurmeet Singh Sian has demanded improvement in the condition of the public toilet built in the Bank Square market opposite the Mohalla Clinic of Phase 5.
He said that the condition of this public toilet is very bad. The pots installed for urination in it are full of dirt. The flush taps on them are either missing and the ones that are there do not have handles. There is also no waste pipe to drain the dirty water.
He said that the urinal smells very bad and those who use it are also at risk of infection. He said that the water is blocked by tying ropes on the hand washing tap.
He said that public toilets in most areas of the city are in such a condition and the Municipal Corporation should inspect these toilets and take necessary action to improve their condition and provide clean public facilities to the city residents. He said that a pile of garbage has been lying on the slip road of PCL Chowk in Phase 5 for several months, which is getting bigger day by day. He has demanded that this pile of garbage be removed.
