Patiala, January 24 – Language Department Punjab has invited entries for various types of Hindi and Sanskrit language books published from 1.1.2024 to 31.12.2024 for the ‘Best Hindi/Sanskrit Book Award’ for the year 2025.
Application forms (proforma) along with four books each for awards related to different categories can be submitted by hand or post at the head office of the department, Bhasha Bhawan, Sheran Wala Gate, Patiala by 31 March 2025. The Best Hindi Book Awards include Giani Sant Singh Award (Poetry), Sudarshan Galp Award (Novel/Story), Mohan Rakesh Award (Drama/Single Play), Indranath Madan Award (Criticism/Editing/Knowledge/Research), Giani Gyan Singh Award. (Biography/Travelogue/Painting/Memorial) Award, Baba Fateh Singh (Children's Literature) Award, Best Sanskrit Book Award and Kalidas Award will be presented.
