Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Mrs. Ashika Jain said that the new services include applying for license to start the work of stamp vendor, obtaining certificate to declare a building as weapon free zone and obtaining e-shram card.
He said that the Punjab Government is working rapidly in the field of e-governance and increasing the services of Seva Kendras.
He said that the fee for e-shram card is only ten rupees. To start the work of stamp vendor, one can apply for license by paying a fee of Rs 100. 710. Apart from this, many schools, colleges, cinema halls, shopping malls, hospitals, marriage palaces, government buildings etc. can apply in the service centers for getting new licenses of arms free zone, the fee of which is Rs 1700 which is for five years. He told that 535 types of services are available in the service centers. Apart from this, 43 services are also being provided under the door step service, which people can avail from home by dialing toll free number 1076.
District Manager of Service Center Manish told that continuous efforts are being made to provide better services to the people. Apart from this, Aadhar card service is also being provided in the service centers and those who have biometric pending of children up to 15 years can go to the nearest service center and get it updated, as it has become an important identity card. There are a total of 15 service centers in SAS Nagar district, including one district level Type-1 category, eleven Type-2 category and three Type-3 category, where common people can go and avail government services.
