Hoshiarpur- A district level prize distribution ceremony was organised at School of Eminence Baghpur under the guidance of District Education Officer (Secondary) Lalita Arora and Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) Dheeraj Vashisht and under the leadership of Sports Coordinator Jagjit Singh to felicitate students and trainers who secured positions in the 68th Punjab School Games organised by the Education Department. In which the players who won 20 medals at state and national level in Taekwondo and Karate, Shreyas Kumar, Aanchal Sharma, Manjot Kaur, Manpreet Singh, Anshdeep Kaur, Ishmeet, Jasleen, Kulveer, Karanpreet Chahal, Pahal Preet Singh, Ajay Veer Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Gurtam Sehgal, Yuvraj, Gauravpreet Singh, Kulveer Kaur, Ishka Saini, Riddhi Sehgal, Tanishq, Diksha and District Coordinator Taekwondo and State Team Incharge Ajay Kumar Master Government Senior Secondary School Kharkan were felicitated by Education Department Hoshiarpur and Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal by giving awards and letters of appreciation.
It is worth mentioning that this year Ajay Kumar made a special contribution in making Hoshiarpur the winner of the team trophy by winning 22 medals for Hoshiarpur district in Taekwondo at Nehru Stadium, Faridkot, Punjab, the hub of sports. On this occasion, District School Farm Committee Chairman Tarlok Singh, Secretary Principal Inderjit Singh, Education Reform Committee in-charge Shalinder Thakur, Deputy District Education Officer Elementary Sukhwinder Singh, Principals of various schools Abhishek Thakur, Dalveer Singh, Suchha Singh, Vishal Sharma, Manjit Kaur, Tajinder Singh etc. were present.
