Giving this information, Additional District Election Officer Viraj S. Tidarke said that so far about 5000 young voters have registered themselves for the efforts being made to strengthen democracy. He informed that among the winners of these competitions, the candidate securing first position at the district level will be awarded a mobile phone by the Chief Election Officer and the candidate securing first position at the state level will be awarded a laptop, the second position holder will be awarded a tablet and the third position holder will be awarded a smart watch.
District Nodal Officer Sweep Prof. Gurbakshish Singh Antal and Election Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar informed that by celebrating National Voter's Day at every polling station in the district, efforts will be made to encourage the general voters, youth, women, Divyangs and migrant voters and make them aware of the importance of the best constitution in the world.
On this occasion, messages of eminent film stars and important personalities of the sports world will also be issued for the voters for the voter awareness campaign and debates, question-answer sessions and cultural competitions are also being organized to encourage voters in the age group of 17 to 19 years.
