Garhshankar 16 April: Under the 'Punjab Shiksha Kranti' campaign launched by the Punjab Government, today Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Jai Krishna Singh Raudi inaugurated development works in various government schools of Garhshankar Assembly constituency at a cost of about Rs 27 lakh.

On this occasion, Mr. Raudi said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously making efforts to improve the condition of government schools in the state. The aim of the government is that every child should get good education as well as a good educational environment. In this connection, large scale development works are being done in the field of education in Garhshankar Assembly constituency also.
The Deputy Speaker today inaugurated the newly constructed classroom and boundary wall in Government Primary School Jassowal, classroom in Government Middle School Jassowal, boundary wall in Government Primary and Middle School Bharowal, renovation of building in Government Primary School Dadiyal and other development works in Government Primary School Pakkhowal Bihari and Government Senior Secondary School Pakkhowal Bihari. He said that the government is ensuring basic facilities in schools so that students do not face any inconvenience in studies.
He said that many other schemes will be started in future in other schools of Garhshankar area. Mr. Raudi appealed to the local people to get their children admitted in government schools as now government schools are no less than any private school. He said that this revolution in the field of education can be successful not only with the support of the government but also with the cooperation of the people. On this occasion, teachers Kuldeep Singh, Kamlesh Kumari, Ram Ratan Kumar, Manpreet Kaur, Sandeep Rani, Lakhwinder Singh, Jagdish Kaur, besides Panchayat representatives, rural and other education department officials were also present.
