Giving this information, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Parvinderpal Kaur, District Nodal Officer, Ayushman Bharat Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana said that 23117 patients have been approved for cashless treatment of Rs 1.50 lakh. Rs 21,14,54,800 has been sanctioned under government hospitals, out of which claims of Rs 17,99,91,181 have also been paid. Similarly, 92375 patients were approved for cashless treatment of Rs 58,54,69,294 under this scheme from listed private hospitals. Out of this, claims of Rs 51,28,87,392 have also been paid.
He said that the District Health Department, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain and Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain, is rapidly preparing e-cards of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana in the district. E-cards of beneficiaries are being collected at various places in the district. Cards are being made. He said that cards of 6 types of beneficiary families are made under this scheme, which include poor families with SECC data, ration card holders, construction workers, small traders, small farmers and journalists.
DMC informed that under this scheme, 1 lakh 21 thousand 286 families are eligible beneficiaries in the district, out of which cards of 99 thousand 260 families have been made and till now cards of a total of 2 lakh 50 thousand 13 people have been made per beneficiary in the district. Accordingly, the work of making cards of the remaining families is going on at a fast pace. According to Dr. Parvinderpal Kaur, Ayushman cards are being made in Common Service Centers opened at different places, while only patients' cards are being made in hospitals. Cards are being made by the Common Service Center by charging a fee of Rs 30.
He informed that camps are also being organized at different places to make cards. It is noteworthy that under the Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is provided to the needy families registered in government and recognized hospitals. This facility is also given for the treatment of many serious diseases like heart disease, knee transplant, eye operation, maternity, cancer etc. Apart from the government hospitals in the district, this facility can also be availed in 30 listed private hospitals. DMC has appealed to the people that they can get the card made by coordinating with the city councilor, sarpanch or Asha worker of their area.
People can check their eligibility on the government website www.shapunjab.in. 104 helpline is providing complete information about Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana to the people 24 hours a day. Arogya Mitra can also be contacted in listed private hospitals. Beneficiaries should bring necessary documents like Aadhar card, ration card, PAN card etc. as per their eligibility. He told that at present 7 government and 30 private hospitals are listed under this scheme in the district, the list of which is available on the said website.
