Garhshankar- Today Tehsil Committee CPI(M) Garhshankar staged a dharna in front of Mahilpur police station on burning issues of people and sent a memorandum to Punjab DGP. On this occasion, party's District Secretary and State Secretariat Member Gurnek Singh Bhajjal and State Committee Member and Tehsil Secretary Mahinder Kumar Baroan, Comrade Achhar Singh, Neelam Baroan said that today law and order situation in Punjab has gone from bad to worse.
Murders and looting are happening every day. Drugs are being sold continuously. Illegal mining and corruption are increasing continuously. Forests and mountains are being cut continuously. Overloaded tippers are continuously breaking the roads and due to accidents caused by them, 18 people have died in Garhshankar but the administration is sleeping peacefully.
The leaders further said that in Kot Fatuhi, thieves broke into a goldsmith's shop and stole goods worth lakhs of rupees but not a single person has been caught by the administration till now. The leaders warned that if the thieves who committed theft in Kot Fatuhi are not caught, then in the coming time, CPI(M) will wage a fierce struggle.
On this occasion Gurbaksh Kaur, Charanjit Kaur, Palo Sunni, Harpal Mahilpur, Gurmel Kalsi, Bittu Bhajjala, Hussan Lal, Daljit Kaur, Varsha Rani, Rajwinder Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Inderjit Kaur, Kamal Hansneet Kaur, Surinder Kaur, Harjinder Kaur also addressed the gathering.
