On 14th January, House Owners Welfare Society Phase-5 organized a program to celebrate Lohri for girls in Yaarana Bhawan Phase-5. The society honored five girls of the phase namely Baby Parikshta, Baby Pehar, Baby Gunisha, Baby Aashi Shukla, Baby Manvika by giving them baby kits and toys.
Counselor Jaspreet Singh Gill attended the program as the chief guest and said that daughters should be made self-dependent by giving them good education. On this occasion, the General Secretary of the Society Rajinder Singh congratulated everyone on the New Year and Lohri. On the occasion of this auspicious festival, the members lit Lohri and distributed Gachak Revdi and peanuts to everyone.
The President of the Society Jai Singh Sehmbhi expressed his gratitude to the guests and members who came. On this occasion, former Presidents of the Society P.D. Wadhwa, Rashpal Singh, Surjit Singh Grewal, Sikander Singh Dhamot, S.R. Dhiman, Davinder Singh Dhamot, R.S. Nanda, Kirat Singh, Parshottam Davda and other members were also present.
