
Aam Aadmi Party won elections on development agenda: Aman Arora
Patiala, January 10- Punjab Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party State President Aman Arora said that Aam Aadmi Party fought the Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections held in 46 cities of the state on the agenda of development and the people of the state also gave full support and set a new record by giving victory to Aam Aadmi Party in 55 percent of the wards of the state. Aman Arora congratulated his fellow cabinet ministers Dr. Balbir and Barinder Goyal and MLA Sanaur Harmeet Singh.

He was talking to the media on the occasion of appointment of newly elected Patiala Mayor Kundan Gogia, Senior Deputy Mayor Harinder Kohli and Deputy Mayor Jagdeep Singh Jagga to their posts in Pathanmajra. Out of the 53 councillors elected in Patiala Municipal Corporation, 43 councillors are from Aam Aadmi Party and among them Kundan Gogia, an old party volunteer and an important member of Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal's team, has been unanimously elected as Mayor and Harinder Kohli as Senior Deputy Mayor and Jagdeep Singh Jagga as Deputy Mayor.
He said that Kundan Gogia belongs to a non-political family and has been working as a volunteer in the party for a long time and the party has given its volunteers due respect and an opportunity to serve the city. He said that the newly elected team of Patiala Municipal Corporation will change the face of the city in the next two years and work will start from today itself to fulfill the five guarantees given by the party during the elections.
He said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to providing transparent and clean administration to the people. He said that yesterday elections were held for the post of president of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats of eight cities of Punjab and in all the cities Aam Aadmi Party MCs have captured the posts. Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that the entire team of Patiala will ensure unprecedented development of the city and the development projects pending for years will be completed soon.
The newly elected Mayor Kundan Gogia met Aam Aadmi Party Supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, thanked Aam Aadmi Party State President Aman Arora and the people of Patiala and said that he will fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him with full dedication and will solve all the problems of the city by taking the people of Patiala along.
He appealed to the people of Patiala that just as the people of Patiala have supported him in the past, in the same way they should support him in future also in working for the all-round development of the city.
