Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 09 January 2025: Exercising powers conferred under Section 6 (1) (E) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, Additional District Magistrate Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke has cancelled the license of Countrywide Services firm.
Giving information, Additional District Magistrate Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke said that Countrywide Services firm SCO No: 41, 2nd Floor, Phase-3-B-1, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar was issued Travel Agency License No. 30/MC-2 on 21.09.2015 to Manjeet Kaur daughter of Lakhvir Singh, owner of Countrywide Services firm SCO No: 41, 2nd Floor, Phase-3-B-1, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, resident of Village and Post Office-Chuni Kalan, Tehsil-Bassi Pathana, District Sri Fatehgarh Sahib; House No. 246, 2nd Floor, Phase-3-B-1, Mohali, District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The validity of this license expired on 20.09.2020.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that as per the Act, application for renewal has to be made two months before the expiry of the license. In this regard, due to non-receipt of registered letter of office and residential address, non-submission of monthly report by the licensee as per the Act/Rules and Advisory, non-renewal of license and non-response/clarification to the notice, non-compliance of the sections of the license, the firm and the licensee have violated the provisions of Section 6(1)(E) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012.
Therefore, in view of the above facts, exercising the powers conferred under the provisions of Section 6(1)(E) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act-2012, the license number 30/MC-2, dated 21.09.2015 issued to Countrywide Services firm has been cancelled/cancelled with immediate effect. Further, as per the Act/Rules if in future any complaint etc. is received against the said company/firm/partnership or its licensees/directors/partners of the firm, then the said company/directors/partners/licensee shall be responsible for the same in all respects and shall also be liable to compensate the same.
