Una, January 8- The district level Republic Day celebrations will be held with unprecedented grandeur at Una. This event, painted in the colour of patriotism, will be held on January 26 in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Una. An attractive parade, splendid tableaux and cultural presentations will showcase the district's glorious history and bright future. Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal on Thursday reviewed the preparations by holding a meeting with the concerned departments and gave special directions to make the celebrations memorable.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the chief guest will pay tribute at Shahid Smarak located at MC Park on 26th January at 10.40 am. After this, the national flag will be hoisted in the school premises at 10.55 am. After the flag hoisting, the chief guest will inspect the parade, take the salute of the march past and address the people of the district. Along with the contingents of police and home guards, students of NCC and NSS will also participate in the parade. Children from various educational institutions of the district and drama troupes will give cultural presentations in the function. In case of rain, alternative arrangements have been ensured in the town hall for the function.
Tableaux based on development plans will be an attraction
The Deputy Commissioner said that tableaux based on various development schemes of the state government will also be presented in the function. These will include tableaux related to Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana, Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Student Loan Scheme, health, agriculture, horticulture and tourism development. The concerned departments have been instructed to prepare attractive and informative tableaux.
Special decoration of Mini Secretariat
On the occasion of Republic Day, the Mini Secretariat building will be decorated in the three colours of the national flag through special 'façade lighting'. He directed the concerned officials to make arrangements for this.
In the ceremony, officers and employees of various departments who have done excellent work related to public service will also be honored.
Additional Superintendent of Police Surendra Sharma, SDM Una Vishwamohan Dev Chauhan, Assistant Commissioner Varinder Sharma along with officers of various departments and representatives of educational institutions were present in the meeting.
