Kharar, 28 December- Bharti Kisan Union Sidhupur and Lakhowal held a joint meeting at Kharar grain market, in which Sidhupur state press secretary Mehar Singh Thedi specially attended. On this occasion, Sidhupur District President Ravinder Singh Deh Kalan and Lakhowal President Davinder Singh Deh Kalan said that a morcha has been going on at Shambhu and Khanuri border since February 13, 2024 regarding the legal guarantee of MSP and other 12 demands of the central government and Sardar Jagjit Singh Dallewal has been on hunger strike since November 26, which has completed 32 days today.

He said that despite this, in protest against the central government not holding any talks, the farmers union has decided that Punjab will be closed on December 30 as a protest.
On this occasion, cooperation was sought from traders, workers, transporters and aadti community to keep Kharar city and District Mohali Block Majri Banur, Mohali, Ghandua completely closed.
Jaspal Singh Niamian said that the Sarsini Highway will be closed by gathering in Derabassi Block. At the same time, Kharar bus stand will remain closed from 7 am to 4 pm. Bahadur Singh Niamian, Manpreet Singh Kheri, Hakik Singh Ghandua, Ranjit Singh Basian Block President Kharar, Jagar Singh Dhadak, Jasvir Singh Santemajra, Gurmeet Singh Khooni Majra, Jaspal Singh Laundran, Gurmukh Singh Jhajju Majra, Harnjit Singh Bajheri were present in the meeting.
