
Deputy commissioner held a meeting regarding successful conduct of Holi Maidi fair

He said that for the successful organization of the fair, Additional Deputy Commissioner Una has been appointed as Fair Officer and SDM Amb as Additional Fair Officer, Additional Superintendent of Police Una as Fair Police Officer and DSP Amb as Assistant Fair Police Officer. Apart from this, during the fair period, 850 police personnel, 125 women police personnel and 750 home guard personnel will take care of security in the fair area.
The Deputy Commissioner said that for the smooth functioning of various arrangements in the fair area, the fair area has been divided into ten sectors so that smooth functioning of various arrangements including traffic, parking and cleanliness can be ensured. He said that medical camps will be set up at various places by the Health and Family Welfare Department and the AYUSH Department in different areas of the fair site. Apart from this, three additional sectors Una to Mehatpur, Haroli-Pandoga and Marwari-Mubaaripur will also be created whose Sector Magistrate will be the respective SDM.
Jatin Lal said that during the fair period, one ambulance of the health department will be available in Nahri, Maidi and Charan Ganga for the convenience of patients in case of emergency. Apart from this, to overcome the network problem, representatives of BSNL, Jio and Airtel should ensure the arrangement of transmitter and receiver in the fair area.
The Deputy Commissioner said that during the fair period, special permits will be issued by the concerned SDM to the first 100 taxis to carry passengers from Nahri to Maidi. He directed the District Food and Supply Controller Una to conduct continuous inspection to ensure that food items and plastic items are not used during the fair period. Apart from this, PWD will ensure proper repair of roads and Jal Shakti Department will ensure proper supply of drinking water and cleanliness. He said that the responsibility of cleanliness in the fair area has been given to Sulabh International.
Coming to the fair in any goods carrying vehicles including open trucks, trolleys, tempos will be prohibited. He directed the RTO, police and SDM to challan the vehicles carrying passengers coming in goods carrying vehicles during the fair period. He said that additional buses will also be run as per the convenience and requirements of the passengers. Loudspeakers will be allowed to be used at low volume only from 6 am to 10 pm in the fair area. The Deputy Commissioner requested the managers and representatives of various religious places located in Maidi and the peoples' representatives of the bordering Gram Panchayats to contribute in every possible way for the successful organization of the fair.
On this occasion, ADC Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bhatia, SDM Amb Sachin Sharma, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Verma, BDO Om Dogra, Pradhan Maidi Khas Gram Panchayat Reena Kumari, Pradhan of Nahari Neelam Kumari, operators of various religious places and public representatives of bordering Gram Panchayats were also present.
