
District Magistrate bans public display of weapons
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, December 12: In order to maintain law and order in the district, District Magistrate Ashika Jain, exercising the powers vested in her under Chapter 11 of Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Act-2023, has imposed a complete ban on public display of weapons in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, December 12: In order to maintain law and order in the district, District Magistrate Ashika Jain, exercising the powers vested in her under Chapter 11 of Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Act-2023, has imposed a complete ban on public display of weapons in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district.
Along with this, there will also be a complete ban on songs glorifying weapons or violence. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on carrying and displaying weapons in public gatherings, religious places, wedding parties or other functions and a ban on giving hate speeches against any community will also remain in force.
The District Magistrate said that if anyone, general and specific, is found violating these orders, appropriate legal action will be taken against him.
These orders will be in force from December 11, 2024 to February 10, 2025.
