Hoshiarpur: Under the leadership of Kulwant Singh Saini, Patron of Municipal Employees Action Committee Punjab, and Somnath Adia, Vice President of Safai Karamcharis Union, a memorandum was submitted to Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh on behalf of the union. He had arrived as the chief guest in the program organized in the Municipal Corporation. On this occasion, Kulwant Saini told Dr. Ravjot that the Labor Commissioner issues letters twice a year in the months of March and September to increase the salaries of the employees doing outsourcing in the Municipal Corporation. Under which this increase was Rs. 450 or Rs. 418 per year, but after the formation of this government, it has reduced to Rs. 197 per year. Apart from this, a memorandum was also submitted to make the employees permanent. Apart from this, they demanded that DA installments be issued, the demands of permanent and casual employees, which were accepted by the first government, be implemented. He said that if the government has a lot of money, then why are their dues not being released. Kulwant Singh Saini and Somnath Adia said that the employees have been working day and night to make the functioning of the corporation smooth for a long time and are making a significant contribution to making the city clean and other services with their full effort.
But the government is not paying any attention to their demands, due to which the employees are feeling cheated and are forced to walk the path of struggle. Due to which the work will be affected a lot and they do not want the work to be affected. Therefore, the government should also think that the demands of the employees should be resolved in a timely manner and they should be given relief. On this, Dr. Ravjot assured them that their demands will be resolved by placing them before the government.
On this occasion, Vikram, Jai Gopal, Harbilas, Balram, Ashok, Ashu Badouch, Dev Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, Kailash and other members were present.
