Awareness workshop on side effects and treatment of drugs organized at Mehtiana

Hoshiarpur: As per the orders of Komal Mittal IAS, Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur and Chairperson District De-Addiction Rehabilitation Society Hoshiarpur and Dr. Harbans Kaur Deputy Medical Commissioner Hoshiarpur; An awareness workshop was organized at GNA Gear Limited Mehtiana under the chairmanship of Dr. Mahima Minhas Medical Officer and under the leadership of Rashpal Singh and Manpreet Kaur.

Hoshiarpur: As per the orders of Komal Mittal IAS, Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur and Chairperson District De-Addiction Rehabilitation Society Hoshiarpur and Dr. Harbans Kaur Deputy Medical Commissioner Hoshiarpur; An awareness workshop was organized at GNA Gear Limited Mehtiana under the chairmanship of Dr. Mahima Minhas Medical Officer and under the leadership of Rashpal Singh and Manpreet Kaur.
In this workshop, Dr. Mahima Minhas Medical Officer, Manager Nisha Rani, Prashant Adia Councilor and Rajwinder Kaur etc. from District De-Addiction Rehabilitation Center Hoshiarpur were present as the main speakers.
On this occasion, Manager Nisha gave detailed information about the causes, symptoms and diseases of drugs through PPT. While answering the questions of two workers there, he said that to save the youth of Punjab, we will have to take steps on priority basis from today itself.
Prashant Adia said in his address that children are the future of the country and girls are the builders of the country, who have many roles in families and can make an important contribution in making Punjab drug free. Youth power is the foundation of any country. To save our future, we should take this message to every home and every street.
Instead of hating a person suffering from drug addiction, we should support him and take him to the local government drug de-addiction center because that person needs support. Only if we support him, our purpose of coming here will be successful.
Rajwinder said that according to the World Health Organization, addiction is a recurring mental illness, the treatment of which is provided free of charge by the Punjab Health Department in all institutions. Therefore, the Health Department is ready to help and cooperate with them. Let's run a campaign to make Punjab drug free. On this occasion, detailed information was given about the free treatment services being provided by the Health and Family Welfare Department of Punjab.
