Rajpura, 30/11/24: A case of beating of a female matron by a female doctor has come to light in AP Jain Hospital, Rajpura. Giving information about this case, the victim midwife Inder Roop said that lady doctor Gurjeet was on duty and I was in the emergency ward.
She beat me up over some work related issue, twisted my arms and scratched my arms. She held me so tightly that it became difficult to free myself. When the related complaint was given to SMO Madam Sonia Jangwal, she explained to both of them. But despite this, Dr. Gurjeet went out of the room while talking to her.
Matron Inder Roop further said that many such cases have come to Dr. Gurjeet Kaur in which she has been seen beating common people. It is dangerous for such doctors to stay in the hospital. All these incidents have been reported to the police and MLR has been issued.
When the investigating officer Mahendra Pal was contacted on phone, he said that we have received the MLR and further action will be taken soon after taking statements from both the parties. When we tried to meet Dr. Gurjit Kaur in this regard, she was not on duty for the last two days.

What does SMO Madam Sonia Jangwal have to say?
When we talked to her in this regard, she said that there have been many complaints against Dr. Gurjit earlier also. Today another complaint has come, both have been explained but a complaint has been lodged with the police on behalf of Inder Roop, whatever further action will be taken will be done through the police.
